Growing up, my parents let me paint on the walls. (I don't know what they were thinking, but, wow, thanks!)

Many years and a couple kids of my own later, painting still brings me that same joy.

I find inspiration in nature, from simple rocks and weeds to broad landscapes and botanicals. Much of my work centers on balance, finding calm in an unruly natural world. I'm drawn to art that invites the viewer's eye to linger a bit longer and aspire to do the same in my own. I aim to utilize careful composition, unexpected color play, and layered strokes to create cheerfully tranquil pieces.
